JEFF AND JESSIE JANTZEN
Jeff and Jessie met in 2010 and immediately bonded over food, amongst other things. They quickly began entertaining friends and family, hosting dinner parties, “Chopped” competitions, a yearly tradition of “Half Thanksgiving” in the summer, and just generally showing their love for each other and the people they care about through their culinary concoctions. When they married in September of 2012, although their wedding was catered by another vendor, the duo still had to add to the fare in the way of Tortilla Rolls, Sausage Balls, and Butterhorn Rolls (all family traditions).
This love of dishes that comfort, invoke nostalgia, and just make you go mmmmmmmm inspired the Jantzens to take this passionate hobby to the next level in 2016 and Jantzen Catering was born. Jeff began honing in the art of wood smoking meats in his custom-built smoker and Jessie completed a decade long goal of completing classic training at the Art Institute of Colorado. In June of 2017, Jessie graduated with honors as well as celebrated many accomplishments including the 2017 Portfolio Show winner, participating in multiple state and national cooking competitions, and residing as the head chef at a popular local pub.
Jeff and Jessie have had the pleasure of feeding 100s of people over the years at weddings, graduations, dances, birthday parties, business meetings, etc. With every client and experience, they fall more in love with the craft and work as hard as possible to make each event as special as possible. From their delectable carved-to-order smoked meats, to the classic comfort foods that make you remember your childhood, to specific requests of all kinds, they will provide you with the same devotion to excellence!
